Happy sponges

I'm not sure what the pink sponges meant to be but cute all the same! It really does brighten up doing the dishes. Funny how such small things can make you smile.

I got these from $10 JUSCO bargainous!

the power of the internet (it is very powerful)

So this morning I googled Littleclouds in the image section to see if any of my stuff would show up instead of photos of little clouds and it did! My airplane posties did twice, the first was from a blog (suburbanpenpal) that had featured them which I didn't know about (yeah good job Google Analytics, nice one) which lead me to find some really cool stuff like this

Owlyshadowpuppets

Which took me a while to figure out because I forget that Americans have to buy health insurance (crazy!) but what really struck me was the packaging! I use this type of tracing style paper myself to wrap stuff up but never thought to do anything pretty to it, I think its so clever!
Its cheap, simple, recyclable, easy to biodegrade & easy to change & customise, this is my kind of packaging.

Little finds - Cool flat in Hong Kong

Got this video forwarded this morning, I don't really get how it is eco but the design & ideas of the flat is amazing.

If clicking the video doesn't work, try here.

This kind of flat design would work well in any city where decent accommodation is pricey although I think its more of a mans pad, not to sound like a girl but all that shifting and lifting would leave me pretty cream crackered.

Little finds - Eric Testroete

Photo and art piece by Eric Testroete

I think this deserves a mention.....originally made to be a halloween costume, I can imagine it used in eerie music videos or indie films or used in a photography exhibition, I would love to see this in real life, would be so freaky, like an abstract mind/eye trick. And made of paper too - amazing!

little finds - Atelierpompadour

I love my random google alerts of all things 'Little clouds', most of the time it is what it is - Little clouds in the sky but today I got this beauty in my inbox.

So so simple and calming and lovely, I love it!

Probably not a surprise that the rest of her/his flickr & shop is pretty cool too and look at their studio - yummmy!

Little finds - shegreetstheday

Photo and item by Shegreetstheday

I know brooches leave holes in your clothes and that,
but I've just never been much of a necklace girl, how can you be when you look at these ridiculously cute brooches I just bought from SheGreetstheDay.
I am tempted to try and turn these into earrings somehow so that I can wear them together, I am indecisive and greedy like that.

little finds - peter callesen

I love paper and the limitless and interesting things people can do with it but this is pretty incredible.

I love how it all originates from a single piece of A4 paper, how structurally everything can be mapped out and flattened like those cool architectural drawings seen from all angles.

My first ever Treasury !

I've been on Etsy for a while but have never really embraced it, there is just so much stuff going on there that I find the info overload overwhelming ! (I have a simple simple brain)
Today I read about treasuries properly from their Storque and have made my very first ever treasury around my first love of drawing, it was pretty easy finding stuff I liked, I like so much!

Now it is just waiting for a spot which I have the feelings is going to be like pushing a pin into a wall - difficult but not impossible! 5 mins left !

top to bottom, left to right

ps: I don't understand the alternatives thing, where do I input that?!?

Little finds - Yuken Teruya

Was googling crafts to do with toilet roll tubes (I teach kids English on weekends!) and I came across this

I would never expect something so serene and quite beautiful sprouting from an ugly toilet roll tube like this.

Tracing its origins I found this work to belong
to a Japanese artist called Yuken Teruya.

Another amazing project she did involving everyday shopping/paper bags, this photo is of the inside of the bag in question.

Its been a while since I've logged into Etsy but today I came across this Two-Headed boy plushie by this shop called Littlegreygoose and its just sooo fun ! Me thinks one of the best I've seen in a while, so full of character, black eye and all.

Also really interesting featured seller right now called Laurengregg so check that out too, her main profile photo is so colourful and the pooch ain't bad either.
