Custom work - characters

A custom order I've been working on which I'm pretty pleased with :D I might make one for myself because it is the perfect lay-your-head-on-it-whilst-reading size!

Littleclouds on Facebook...no not a fan page.

Woke up to check my facebook (as you do) and saw one of my character dolls on my 'news feed' because Spoonflower made a little mention of it on their fan page which was nice to see first thing in my morning.

I've also ordered more fabric with a new character called Raleigh and new and improved versions of older designs Tracey and Sammy the fairy. (Tracey and Raleigh are non identitcal twins)

Spoonflower ll / new character dolls

My proper spoon flower order arrived the other day !

They came out a bit smaller than I t

hought but the quality is very very good and although the shipping took longer than expected (through no fault of SF) I was really happy with their customer service - friendly, efficient and to-the-point-helpful.

The Quilting weight fabric I choose was quite thin so quite see through, its absolutely fine for what I'm using it for but just something to bear in mind for everyone else out there.

DTG companies

I recently heard about these Direct To Garment printing companies where they aim more for the arts and crafts market with small or no minimums so after looking at a few companies, I choose Spoonflower as they are the oldest and had slightly cheaper p+p to HK but mostly because their website was the best!

New Character - BananaGirl

Meet Bananagirl - BananaGirl represents every job you had where your watch became your best friend and your best friend became your shoulder to cry on.

The job ad said 'Model needed for organic fruit company. Must have a great personality and a clean drivers license'.

She imagined classy countryside getaways, where she would drink wine and eat strawberries and get photographed all day long.

Sadly they handed her a bright yellow suit with a shove towards a busy high street, bursting every little dream she had. Poor Bananagirl.

New Characters - Pregnant Pam & Sunburnt Sally

Meet Pam - Your first-time expectant mother. She was that friend who never wanted children, never awwed over that cute baby and instead wanted a lifetime of adventure but alas, life is never what you plan.

Not quite the glowing mum to be, she instead feels forever sweaty and flustered but at least with the excuse of eating for 2, is able to divulge her appetite for peanut butter with crushed short bread sarnies!

Meet Sunburnt Sally -

Sally is that grumpy Auntie who came on board with your annual family holiday at Wells-on-sea at the last minute. She forgets all the essentials, packs waay too many hats and shoes and snores like a *itch in the caravan.

By day 2 what always seemed like a good idea at the start turns in a slow lingering daymare with those awkward conversations starting and ending in moans about weather - 'oooh its too blooming hot/cold/wet/grey/dull' (delete as appropriate)

New Character - Maggie

Meet Maggie.

Maggie is the sensitive caring soul that thinks now, does later.

She is single, lives on her own in a small bungalow her late grandma left her and immensely enjoys cooking against Nigella on TV who she has a love hate relationship with.

Although she loves to have a mean steak on the weekends she loves animals and every night there is a stray cat party going on in her garden from all the scraps and milk she leaves out. The cats leave her dead mice on a daily basis as a thank you.

New Character - Ping Pong Stan

Meet Stan, he is Ping Pong Man....player!

Don't let his youthful looks deceive you, he is in fact 86 and counting, he is a divorcee, vegetarian but a huge lover of beer (San Miguel if your offering) he enjoys classical music, walks in the park and as well as being an avid ping pong player, he also enjoys dining alfresco, completely au naturale if you know what I mean.

Sept Blog Winner!

I do love to screenprint

Screenprinting is FUN! Everytime I lift up the screen & the print has come out well, you get this little feeling of 'YAY' inside & I find the more I print the better I become at it, which makes me worried about moving to Hong Kong next year as the only studio I can find isn't that great & is really expensive. I wish I could just take my home set up here over there :((((

Sammy the Fairy - new character doll!

Meet Sammy, she is a fairy & like's to sing when she's not prancing around spreading fairy dust, in her mind she has the voice of an angel, in everybody elses mind she sounds like Barry White on Acid. Not good!
